This takes hell of a lot of time, u can earn millions in pve farming meanwhile. Most people dont go with guild to tomb and if u just started pvp its impossible to win or get near hoh(first of all u have to search a group for 30 mins to get in if u dont have emote and then loose against first human team, then start over searching...). How do u want to beat those rank9+ regular teams(Power of My Rangers, BRG etc...)?

Default Most time efficient imho...

... is to farm greens, keep yourself up to date with the current prices and trade patiently.

I've had a most lucky week; Grognard's Sword (sold for 50p), Razorstone (sold for 100p) and Brohn's Holy Rod (sold for 90p) in less than 10 farming sessions. Got a couple of more common greens as well. Key is to keep the team as small and efficient as possible (maximum of 5 ppl). This adds up to about 300p in one week.

im in the exact same position as you. i've never had more than 21k at once, and i have 200 hours on my character.

and i've tried farming. i got a whole bunch of things worth 25 gold. it was great

im starting to believe those myths about henchies taking all the loot. i play a ranger, and i have never gotten into a garming group for more than 1 minute, before someone says "what is the ranger for" and i am kicked from the group.

im wish everyday for the release of an auction house...

EDIT: and as far as "just playing the game" if i had only done the missions and the quests i would have even less gold than i do now, and i would only have gotten 1 gold drop ever. i still have no green drops after killing 30+ bosses in grenths footprint. if i had stopped killing bosses in grenths when i finished the missions i would still have no greens.

I sympathise Eldrig - I had very little success with drops as a ranger right up to and including Sf.

My next character is a W/Mo and I spent a lot of time getting a farming build down. I now farm Crystal solo and Grenth's Footprint with 3/4 henchies (healer, protector, Devona / Warrior).

I agree with the previous posters who say most money comes from farming Greens with small as possible teams or soloing in as difficult an area as you can manage.

To solo u need to get your build right; balancing your hitiness with healing / protecting/ dodging. Always bring area of effect attack skills.

Couldn't advise on Ranger builds but my W/Mo axe warrior combines Cyclone axe with "Live vicariously" and "vigorous Spirit" and a 3/1 vampiric upgrade to hit 4 Griffins at once and gain 92 health with a single attack.

i gotta say i dont do much farming, my necro has a green wand, and thats all i have, even that was given by a guildie. I have had my share of gold items, but i cant be bothered to stand around saying "WTS....". I guess its partially skill and a lot of luck. The most cash i have ever had was 170k. How? Lucky, i opened a chest in the shiver peaks down near sorrows and got a sup absorbtion, the killed a boss and low and behold, he dropped a sup vigor. Bang bang bosh, 170k in under 5 minutes. if you have the time, and you get lucky, you get the cash.

Since farming just got nerfed into the ice-age, this thread needs more posts!
